1) Reprimand; 2) Effective February 2, 1993. Respondent entered a plea of guilty in the Muskegon County Circuit Court to one count of Controlled Substance-Use-Cocaine, a misdemeanor, in violation of MCL 333.74042A. In accordance with MCR 9.120(B)(3), upon the filing of the Judgment of Conviction the Attorney Discipline Board entered an order directing respondent to show cause why a final order of discipline should not be entered.
In reaching its decision on the level of discipline to be imposed, the hearing panel took into consideration respondent's lack of prior discipline; his contrite, articulate, remorseful and credible testimony; the sentence he received in the underlying criminal case; his rehabilitation; and his attendance of Narcotics Anonymous meetings. Costs were assessed in the amount of $404.52.
