NOTICE OF REPRIMAND Case No. 92-31-GA Donald W. Teichman, Jr., P-37817, Mount Clemens, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board affirming and modifying a hearing panel order of reprimand.

1) Reprimand; 2) Effective October 24, 1992. The respondent and the Grievance Administrator both filed petitions seeking review of a hearing panel order of reprimand.

Respondent was retained to represent a client in a worker's compensation case pending before the Bureau of Workers' Disability Compensation. The Attorney Discipline Board affirmed the panel's findings that respondent failed to file an appearance on his client's behalf with the Bureau of Workers' Disability; failed to appear for trial, causing his client's case to be dismissed; and failed to keep his client informed concerning the status of her case. The Board reversed the panel's findings that false statements were knowingly made to the client and the Attorney Grievance Commission.

Respondent's conduct was found to be in violation of MCR 9.104 (1-4); and the Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct, 1.1(c); 1.3; 1.4; 3.2; 8.4(a,c). Costs were assessed in the amount of $725.62.
