NOTICE OF SUSPENSION Case No. 92-299-JC Lee J. Klein, P-25186, Okemos, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board affirming a hearing panel order of suspension.

1) Suspension - two and one-half (22) years; 2) Effective November 17, 1992. On November 17, 1992, respondent was convicted in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, by jury verdict, of one count of conspiracy to defraud the United States in violation of 18 USC 371.

In accordance with MCR 9.120(B)(1), respondent's license to practice law in Michigan was automatically suspended effective November 17, 1992, the date of the felony conviction. Upon the filing of the judgment of conviction, the Attorney Discipline Board entered an order directing respondent to show cause why a final order of discipline should not be entered.

On March 10, 1994, Ingham County Hearing Panel #1 entered an order suspending respondent's license for two and one-half years effective November 17, 1992, the date of the automatic interim suspension. Costs were assessed in the amount of $469.56.

The Grievance Administrator filed a petition for review challenging the effective date of the suspension. In an order issued December 15, 1994, the Attorney Discipline Board affirmed the hearing panel order of suspension.
