1) Reprimand; 2) Effective January 24, 1992. The hearing panel found that misconduct was established by a preponderance of the evidence. Respondent was contacted by a suspended attorney to take over pending litigation as plaintiff's counsel, but failed to inform the plaintiff that he was acting on his behalf; failed to inform the plaintiff fully as to the status of the litigation; and failed to answer or advise the plaintiff of certain correspondence received from defendant's counsel. Respondent's conduct was found to be in violation of MCR 9.104(1-4) and the Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct, 1.1(c); 1.2(a); 1.3; 8.4(a,c). Costs were assessed in the amount of $482.40.
