Reprimand; Effective February 21, 19~
The respondent and the grievance administrator filed a stipUlation for consent order of discipline pursuant to MCR 9.115(F)(5) which was approved by the hearing panel and the Attorney Grievance Commission. Respondent offered his plea of nolo contendere to the allegations contained in the formal complaint.
Respondent pled nolo contendere to the charge that, while acting as plaintiff's counsel in a civil action, he was rude, condescending and discourteous to opposing counsel and the deponents; and, during a recess taken during a deposition, followed opposing counsel into another room and caused an altercation during which he impermissibly touched her person.
Respondent's conduct was allegea to be in violation of MCR 9.104(1-4) and the Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct, 8.4(a,c). Costs were assessed in the f $190.45 .
