1) Suspension - 59 months; 2) Effective August 27, 1991. Respondent entered a guilty plea in Recorder's Court for the City of Detroit to one count of attempted burning of real property in violation of MCL 750.92, 750.73. In accordance with MCR 9.120 (A)(1) [now MCR 9.120(B)(1)], respondent's license to practice law in Michigan was automatically suspended on August 27, 1991, the date of the felony conviction.
Upon the filing of the judgment of conviction, the Attorney Discipline Board entered an order directing respondent to show cause why a final order of discipline should not be entered. On September 24, 1992, the hearing panel entered a final order suspending respondent's license for a period of 59 months effective August 27, 1991, the effective date of the automatic interim suspension. Costs were assessed in the amount of $312.82.
