NOTICE OF REPRIMAND AND RESTITUTION (By Consent)
Case No. 91-89-GA Phillip F. Levillier, P25293, Taylor, Michigan, by Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #28.
1) Reprimand; 2) Effective October 23, 1991. The respondent and the grievance administrator filed a stipulation for consent order of discipline pursuant to MCR 9.115 (F)(5) which was approved by the hearing panel and the Attorney Grievance Commission. Respondent was retained to defend a personal injury matter, but failed to file a mediation summary or attend mediation; failed to timely reject the mediation award; and failed to keep his clients advised of the status of the litigation. Respondent's conduct was found to be in violation of MCR 9.104 (1-4); and the Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct, 1.1(c); 1.3; 1.4(a); 8.4(a,c). Respondent is to make restitution to his clients in the amount of $500.00. Costs were assessed in the amount of $113.75.
