1) Probation - two (2) years; 2) Effective July 3, 1991. The respondent offered his plea of nolo contendere to the charges contained in Counts I through XIV in their entirety and Count XV paragraph (C)(i, iii, iv). Count XV (C)(ii, v) and Count XVI in its entirety were withdrawn by the grievance administrator. Respondent was appointed to represent fourteen separate clients in criminal matters and served as counsel for another client. Respondent neglected the legal matters of all fifteen clients. Respondent's conduct was found to be in violation of MCR 9.104(1-4); Canons 1, 6 and 7 of the Code of Professional Responsibility, DR 1-102(A)(1,5,6); DR 6-101(A)(3); DR 7-101(A) (1-3); and the Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct, 1.1(c); 1.3; 1.4; 8.4(a,c). The panel ruled that the respondent established his eligibility for probation in accordance with the provisions of MCR 9.121(C). Costs were assessed in the amount of $786.36.
