NOTICE OF SUSPENSION (By Consent)
Case No. 91-18-GA Tat Parish, P18636, St. Joseph, Michigan, by Attorney Discipline Board Kent County Hearing Panel #2.
1) Suspension - ninety (90) days; 2) Effective November 16, 1990. The respondent and the Grievance Administrator filed a stipulation for consent order of discipline pursuant to MCR 9.115(F)(5) which was approved by the hearing panel and the Attorney Grievance Commission. Respondent was retained to represent an individual in a civil case, but failed to appear for a pretrial conference and failed to respond to his client's inquiries. Respondent's conduct was found to be in violation of MCR 9.104(1-4) and Canons 1, 6 and 7 of the Code of Professional Responsibility, DR 1-102(A)(1,5,6); DR 6-101(A)(3); and DR 7-101(A)(1-3). The suspension in this matter ran concurrent to the suspension imposed in Case Nos. 90-33-GA; 90-53-FA; 90-133-GA; 90-144-FA (see notice dated November 16, 1990). Costs were assessed in the amount of $97.75.
