NOTICE OF SUSPENSION ADB 122-89; 143-89 Gregory L. Moore, P-34437, Detroit, Michigan by the Attorney Discipline Board affirming a hearing panel order of suspension.
1) Suspension - sixty days; 2) Effective September 5, 1990. Based upon his admissions on the record, the hearing panel concluded that the respondent committed acts of professional misconduct as alleged in a three-count complaint.
In two matters, respondent was appointed to represent a criminal defendant in post-conviction proceedings and failed to take appropriate action on his clients' behalf and he failed to answer a Request for Investigation.
Respondent's conduct was in violation of MCR 9.104(1-4,7); MCR 9.103(C); MCR 9.113(B)(2) and Canons 1, 6 and 7 of the Code of Professional Responsibility DR 1-101(A)(1,5,6); DR 6-101(A)(3) and DR 7-101(A).
The suspension of sixty days imposed by the hearing panel was affirmed by the Attorney Discipline Board. The respondent's Motion for Reconsideration was denied by the Board in an order which directed that the suspension would be effective September 5, 1990. Costs were assessed in the amount of $297.73.
