1) Revocation; 2) Effective August 29, 1990. On August 29, 1990, the respondent was found guilty in the 39th Circuit Court, Lenawee County, State of Michigan, of four counts of Embezzlement by an Agent or Trustee over $100 in violation of MCL 750.174-B. On October 5, 1990, the respondent entered a plea of guilty in the Common Pleas Court, Lucas County, State of Ohio, to Grand Theft in violation of Section 2913.02 ORC. In accordance with MCR 9.120(A), the respondent's license to practice law in Michigan was automatically suspended on August 29, 1990, the date of the first felony conviction.
Upon the filing of the judgments of conviction, show cause proceedings were conducted before Washtenaw County Hearing Panel #1, in accordance with MCR 9.120. The panel concluded that revocation of the respondent's license was warranted in light of the nature of the respondent's criminal conduct. Costs were assessed in the amount of $161.73.
