NOTICE OF REPRIMAND ADB 96-89 Sandra S. Schultz, P-30269, Ironwood, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board affirming a hearing panel order of reprimand.
1) Reprimand; 2) Effective May 30, 1990. The respondent was reprimanded by the Gogebic County Hearing Panel for her admitted failure to file a timely answer to a request for investigation.
The respondent sought review of that discipline order on the grounds that her prior unblemished record should have been afforded greater weight, that the panel erred in proceeding to a separate hearing on discipline immediately following the hearing on the charges of misconduct and that the costs assessed in the order of discipline were excessive. The Attorney Discipline Board considered the petition for review and determined that the hearing panel order was appropriate.
Respondent's conduct was found to be in violation of MCR 9.104(7); MCR 9.103 and MCR 9.113(B)(2). Costs were assessed in the amount of $1066.50.
