NOTICE OF REPRIMAND ADB 123-88 Enid R. Brahms, P-34035, Mt. Clemens, Michigan by the Attorney Discipline Board affirming hearing panel Order of Discipline.
1) Reprimand; 2) Effective May 22, 1990. The hearing panel determined that the respondent was retained in an employment rights matter in December 1985 but performed no further services on her client's behalf after January 2, 1986, failed to advise her client that she would take no further action on his behalf and failed, for approximately one year, to respond satisfactorily to her client's verbal communications. The panel concluded that the respondent's conduct was in violation of MCR 9.104(2,4) and Canon 7 of the Code of Professional Responsibility, DR 7-101(A)(2).
Upon consideration of the respondent's petition for review, the Attorney Discipline affirmed the hearing panel's decision. The respondent's application for leave to appeal was denied by the Supreme Court in order dated May 22, 1990. Costs were assessed in the amount of $749.73.
