1) Revocation; 2) Effective April 9, 1990. Respondent was convicted in the United States District Court, Eastern District of Michigan, of the offenses of aiding and abetting and attempted interference with commerce under color of official right in violation of 18:USC:2 and 18:USC:1951, and subscribing a false income tax return in violation of 26:USC:7206(1). In accordance with MCR 9.120(A), the respondent's license to practice law was automatically suspended on April 9, 1990, the date of conviction.
Upon the filing of the judgment of conviction, the Attorney Discipline Board entered an order directing the respondent to show cause why a final order of discipline should not be entered.
In an order dated July 3, 1990, Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #11 ordered that the respondent's license to practice law be revoked effective April 9, 1990. Costs were assessed in the amount of $191.50.
