NOTICE OF REPRIMAND (By Consent)
ADB 66-89 Leonard M. Mazor, P-31020, Southfield, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board affirming a hearing panel order of reprimand.
1) Reprimand; 2) Effective February 27, 1990*. The respondent and the Grievance Administrator filed a stipulation for consent order of discipline pursuant to MCR 9.115(F)(5) which was approved by the hearing panel and the Attorney Grievance Commission. The respondent admitted the allegation of Count I of the Formal Complaint.
Respondent was retained to prosecute a federal action, but failed to file an action on his client's behalf.
Respondent's conduct was found to be in violation of MCR 9.104(1-4) and Canons 1, 6 and 7 of the Code of Professional Responsibility, DR 1-102(A)(1,5,6); DR 6-101(A)(3); DR 7-101(A) (1-3).
The complainant filed a petition for review asking for an order setting aside the stipulated discipline and full prosecution of the formal complaint, Counts I and II. In an order dated October 12, 1990, the Attorney Discipline Board affirmed the hearing panel order of reprimand. Costs were assessed in the amount of $231.05.
