NOTICE OF REVOCATION (By Consent)

Case No. 90-11-JC Robert C. Vogel, P-4807, East Lansing, Michigan, by Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #28.

1) Revocation; 2) Effective October 27, 1989 On October 27, 1989, the respondent entered his pleas of guilty in the Ingham County Circuit Court to seven felony charges contained in six criminal cases. The Court accepted respondent's guilty pleas to charges that he embezzled approximately $45,547 from an estate then pending in a probate court; that he embezzled approximately $100,000 from a living trust which he served as trustee; that he embezzled approximately $76,336 from an estate pending in probate court; that he embezzled $3166 as custodian of his law firm's trust account; that he forged the endorsement and negotiated a check in the amount of $10,300 without the consent of the payee; that he forged the endorsement and presented for payment a settlement in the amount of $19,500 from a personal injury action, all in violation of PACC 750.181, 750.248, 750.249, 750.174(B).

The hearing panel and the Attorney Grievance Commission approved a stipulation for consent order of discipline filed under the provisions of MCR 9.115(F)(5) agreeing to the revocation of respondent's license to practice law in Michigan, effective upon the date of his conviction. Costs were assessed in the amount of $6.52.
