NOTICE OF SUSPENSION (With Conditions)
ADB 159-89 Geoffrey H. Davis, P-12550, Clawson, Michigan, by Attorney Discipline Board Oakland County Hearing Panel #25.
1) Suspension - 42 months; 2) Effective September 19, 1989. The respondent entered a plea of guilty in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan to possession with intent to distribute cocaine and aiding and abetting in violation of 21:USC:841(a)(1) and 18:USC:2. In accordance with MCR 9.120(A), the respondent's license to practice law was automatically suspended on September 19, 1989, the date of conviction.
Upon the filing of the Judgment of Conviction, the Attorney Discipline Board entered and order directing the respondent to show cause why a final order of discipline should not be entered.
In an order dated September 25, 1990, Attorney Discipline Board Oakland County Hearing Panel #25 ordered the respondent's license to practice law in the State of Michigan suspended for a period of 42 months commencing September 19, 1989, with the condition that upon the respondent's early release from incarceration the suspension may be modified to a period equal to the length of the incarceration plus 120 days. Costs were assessed in the amount of $242.02.
