1) Reprimand and Restitution; 2) Effective May 18, 1989. The hearing panel unanimously determined that the respondent failed to timely prosecute an appeal of behalf of his client regarding the loss of the client's private security guard license after having been paid attorney fees totaling $500.00. Respondent's conduct was found to be in violation of MCR 9.104(1,2,4) and Canon 7 of the Code of Professional Responsibility, DR 7-101(A)(1,3). A separate hearing was held to determine the appropriate level of discipline. The panel recommended that Respondent be reprimanded and that he make restitution to his client in the amount of $500.00. Costs were asses d in the amount of $1328.55.
