1) Reprimand; 2) Effective June 14, 1989. Based upon the evidence presented, the hearing panel concluded that although funds entrusted to the respondent's law firm by a client were not used for their intended purpose, the funds were in fact mishandled by an employee of the firm without the knowledge or the participation of the respondent. With regard to the respondent's representation of another client, the panel found that the respondent's fees were not reasonable for services provided in obtaining first party benefits under the no-fault statute. The respondent's conduct in those matters was alleged to be in violation of Canons 2 and 9 of the Code of Professional Responsibility, DR 2-106(A)(B) and DR 9-102(A)(B)(3,4). Costs were assessed in the amount of $1246.40.
