1) Reprimand; 2) Effective June 8, 1989. The respondent was retained to prosecute a wrongful discharge matter. The hearing panel found that Respondent failed to communicate with his client, failed to withdraw from the case after he decided he no longer wanted to represent the client, and failed to reinstate the case when it was dismissed for lack of progress. Respondent's conduct was found to be in violation of MCR 9.104(1-4) and Canons 1, 6 and 7 of the Code of Professional Responsibility, DR 1-102(A)(1,4-6); DR 6-101(A)(3); and DR 7-101(A)(1-3) Costs were assessed in the amount of $508.84.
