Respondent was convicted in Oakland County Circuit Court of conspiracy to commit gross frauds in violation of MCL 750.280, and false pretenses over $100.00 in violation of MCL 750.218-B. In accordance with MCR 9.120(A), Respondent's license to practice law was automatically suspended on April 7, 1989, the date of conviction.
The Attorney Discipline Board entered an order directing the respondent to show cause why a final order of discipline should not be entered. In an order dated September 1, 1989, the hearing panel imposed revocation of Respondent's license to practice law. Costs were assessed in the amount of $138.00.
