NOTICE OF REPRIMAND ADB 227-87 William L. Fischel, P-22866, Southfield, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board affirming a Hearing Panel Order of Reprimand.
1) Reprimand; 2) Effective April 4, 1989. The respondent made a misrepresentation to a hearing panel in a previous disciplinary matter, namely that a doctor's affidavit submitted in support of a motion to set aside default had been signed in the presence of a notary. Respondent's conduct was found to be in violation of MCR 9.104(1,3) and Canons 1 and 7 of the Code of Professional Responsibility, DR 1-102(A)(4,6); and DR 7- 102(A)(4,5).
Upon consideration of separate petitions for review filed by the Grievance Administrator and the respondent, the Attorney Discipline Board affirmed the findings and conclusions of the hearing panel. Costs were assessed in the amount of $467.57.
