Respondent was convicted, by guilty plea, of four counts of felony misconduct in office, in violation ofMCL 750.505, in a matter titled People of the State of Michigan v Jarod M. Calkins, 38th Circuit Court Case No. 18-244382-FH. In accordance with MCR 9.120(B)(1), respondent's license to practice law in Michigan was automatically suspended effective September 5,2018, the date of respondent's felony convictions. Based on respondent's convictions, the panel found that he engaged in conduct that violated a criminal law of a state or of the United States, in violation of MCR 9.104(5).
