The respondent was retained to represent a client in a personal injury claim, but failed to communicate with her client, failed to forward release forms to her client for execution for approximately two and one-half years, and failed to act diligently and expeditiously in representing her client. The hearing panel found Respondent's conduct to be in violation of MCR 9.104(1-4); and Canons 1, 6, and 7 of the code of Professional Responsibility, DR 1-102(A)(1,5,6); DR 6-101(A)(3); and DR 7-101(A)(1-3). Costs were assessed in the amount of $428.17.
