1) Reprimand; 2) February 21, 1989. The respondent accepted employment on behalf of a client for personal injuries sustained in an automobile accident. At the time of that employment, the respondent represented the client's father, who was the owner of the vehicle and a potential defendant in the new case. The hearing panel found that the respondent's simultaneous representation of those clients had, at the least, the appearance of impropriety and constituted violations of Canon 5 of the Code of Professional Responsibility, DR 5-101(A) and DR 5-105(B)(C)(D). Costs were assessed in the amount $312.60.
