1) Reprimand; 2) Effective February 3, 1989. The Respondent admitted the allegations of the Formal Complaint in his Answer, as well as at the hearing before the panel on December 8, 1988. Respondent maintained a client trust account and deposited in it his personal funds as well as funds from his general business account; prepared checks for personal and professional expenses drawn upon his client trust account; and deposited a settlement check and an insurance check into his general business account. Respondent's conduct was found to be in violation of MCR 9.104(2-4) and Canons 1 and 9 of the Code of Professional Responsibility, DR 1-102(A) (5, 6) and DR 9-102(A). Costs were assessed in the amount of $1161.60.
