NOTICE OF AUTOMATIC INTERIM SUSPENSION Case No. 18-108-AI Notice Issued: October 9,2018 Jarod M. Calkins, P 64661, Carleton, Michigan. Effective September 5, 2018. On September 5, 2018, the court accepted respondent's guilty plea to four counts of violating MCl 750.505, a felony, in the matter of the People of the State of Michigan v Jarod M. Calkins, 38th Circuit Judicial Court, Case No. 18-244382-FH. In accordance with MeR 9.120(8)(1), respondent's license to practice law in Michigan was automatically suspended on the date of his felony conviction.
Upon the filing of a certified judgment of conviction, this matter will be assigned to a hearing panel for further proceedings. The interim suspension will remain in effect until the effective date of an order filed by a ring panel.
