1) Suspension - 180 days; 2) Suspension - sixty (60) days; 3) Both Effective November 29, 1988. The Respondent filed a claim of appeal on behalf of the defendant in a civil action, but failed to answer the Appellee's motion for an order to show cause why the appeal should not be dismissed; and failed to appear at a hearing on the motion, causing the appeal to be dismissed. Respondent further admitted allegations that she failed to comply strictly with the requirements of her probation resulting from a previous disciplinary action. Respondent's conduct was found to be in violation of MCR 9.104(1-4, 8) and Canons 1, 6, and 7 of the Code of Professional Responsibility, DR 1-102(A)(1, 5, 6); DR 6-101(A)(3) and DR 7-101(A)(1, 3). Respondent's license to practice law is suspended for 180 days for violation of the Order of Probation in DP 142/86; DP 171/86, and for sixty (60) days for the misconduct found in Count I of the Formal Complaint; the two suspensions shall run concurrently. Costs were assessed in the amount of $232.73.
