1) Reprimand; 2) Effective November 30, 1988. The Respondent admitted that he told his client that the client's civil case had been settled and he delivered the sum of $1,000.00 to the client as the net proceeds from the- settlement with the defendant. In fact, no settlement had been reached in that case and the Panel concluded that Respondent's misrepresentations to his client constituted violations of MCR 9.104(1-4) and Canon 1 of the Code of Professional Responsibility, DR 1-102(A)(, 46). Costs were assessed in the amount of $467.55.
