NOTICE OF REPRIMAND (By Consent)
Case No. DP 185/86 Robert G. Morrison, P-35847, Ypsilanti, MI, by Attorney Discipline Board Ann Arbor Hearing Panel.
1) Reprimand; 2) Effective October 12, 1988. The Respondent failed to appear at a hearing in Ann Arbor and failed to answer the Formal Complaint. The Order of Suspension filed by the hearing panel was appealed to the Attorney Discipline Board by the Respondent who demonstrated significant mitigating circumstances warranting an order remanding the matter to the panel for further proceedings. The hearing panel approved a stipulation for consent order of discipline submitted by the respondent and the Grievance Administrator under the provisions of MCR 9.115(F)(5). Respondent has admitted that his failure to answer a Request for Investigation constituted violations of MCR 9.104(1-4,7); MCR 9.113(B)(2) and Canon 1 of the Code of Professional Responsibility, DR 1-102(A)(1,5,6). Costs were assessed in the amount of $ 161.76.
