NOTICE OF REVOCATION ADB 130-87 Lee O. Williams, P-22357, Indianapolis, Indiana, by the Attorney Discipline Board increasing a Hearing Panel Order of Suspension of three years.
1) Revocation; 2) Effective August 3, 1988. The Respondent received funds from the sale of stock belonging to his clients and held the total of $5871.12 in his client trust account. During a period of eighteen months, the Respondent withdrew $5860.25 of his clients' money and misappropriated those funds. He falsely stated to the Attorney Grievance Commission that his clients' money was maintained in cash at his home. Respondent's conduct was found to be in violation of MCR 9.104(1-5) and Canons 1 and 9 of the Code of Professional Responsibility, DR 1-102(A)(1, 3-6); and DR 9-102(B)(4).
Upon consideration of the serious nature of the misconduct and Respondent's prior disciplinary record, the Attorney Discipline Board affirmed the hearing panel's findings but increased discipline from a suspension of three years to the revocation of the Respondent's license to practice law. Costs were assessed in the amount of $451.72.
