1) Revocation; 2) Effective October 5, 1988. On October 5, 1988, the respondent pleaded guilty in Ingham County Circuit Court to two felony counts of embezzlement by agent, servant, or employee of more than $100 in violation of MCL 750.174-B. In accordance with MCR 9.120(A), respondent's license to practice law was automatically suspended effective the date of entry of his plea of guilty.
Upon the filing of the Judgment of Conviction, the Attorney Discipline Board entered an order directing the respondent to show cause why a final order of discipline should not be entered. A hearing panel of the Attorney Discipline Board ordered that the respondent's license to practice law be revoked effective October 5, 1988.
The respondent filed a petition for review seeking a reduction of the discipline. In an order issued April 30, 1990, the Attorney Discipline Board affirmed the hearing panel Order of Revocation. Costs were assessed in the amount of $1017.25.
