AMENDED NOTICE OF SUSPENSION ADB 82-88 Jerome S. O'Connor, P-18405, Detroit, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board affirming a Hearing Panel Order of Suspension.

1) Suspension - 104 days; 2) Effective March 15, 1988. The Respondent was convicted in the Oakland County Circuit Court of involuntary manslaughter and driving while license suspended. In accordance with MCR 9.120(A), the Respondent's license was automatically suspended on March 15, 1988 upon the entry of his felony conviction. On June 27, 1988, the Attorney Discipline Board granted the Respondent's motion to set aside the automatic suspension. In determining the level of discipline, the hearing panel considered the nature of the offense and Respondent's prior unblemished record. Respondent's conduct was found to be in violation of MCR 9.104(4). Costs were assessed in the amount of $168.34.

The Grievance Administrator's petition for review seeking an increase in discipline was considered by the Attorney Discipline Board. In an order dated March 24, 1989, the hearing panel's findings and conclusions were affirmed, with additional conditions placed upon Respondent.
