The Hearing Panel found t h a t t h e Respondent had knowingly and w i l l f u l l y a ided and a b e t t e d t he s o l i c i t i o n of a b r i b e by a judge of t he Michigan Court of Appeals and t h a t such conduct v i o l a t e d the p rov i s ions of MCR 9.104(1-4) and Canon 1 of the Code of P ro fe s s iona l Respons ib i l i t y , DR 1-102 ( ~ ) ( 1 , 3 , 4 - 6 ) . I n the Opinion accompanying i t s Order, the Board r u l e d that a l though the Panel was n o t r equ i r ed t o f i n d every element necessary t o s u s t a i n a

c r imina l conv ic t i on f o r that o f f ense , t he r e c o r d b e f o r e the Panel c l e a r l y supported t h e i r conc lus ion t h a t t he Respondent a i d e d i n t h e b r i b e r y scheme. C o s t s were a s s e s s e d i n t h e amount o f $6,971.51.

The Responden t h a s f i l e d a n A p p l i c a t i o n f o r Leave t o Appeal w i th the Michigan Supreme Court i n accordance w i t h MCR 9.122. The Orde r o f R e v o c a t i o n i s n o t s t a y e d and became e f f e c t i v e September 25, 1987.
