NOTICE OF SUSPENSION

Upon t h e f i l i n g o f a Judgment o f C o n v i c t i o n o f t h e misdemeanor o f f ense of f a l s e pre tenses l e s s t h a t $100.00 (MCLA 750.215), i n 56-2 District Court, C h a r l o t t e , M I , Respondent was ordered to appear be fo re a Hearing Panel of the Attorney D i s c i p l i n e Board to show cause why a f i n a l Order of D i s c i p l i n e should n o t be en tered . The Hearing Panel announced t h a t i t s d e c i s i o n t o suspend Respondent's l i c e n s e f o r a period of 90 days was based i n p a r t upon the mi t iga t ing e f f e c t of the r e s i t u t i o n made by the Respondent a t the t i m e o f h i s convic t ion , personal d i f f i c u l t i e s experienced by the Respondent a t the time of t he conv ic t ion and h i s self-imposed regime of r e h a b i l i t a t i o n .

Upon cons ide ra t ion of the P e t i t i o n f o r Review f i l e d by t h e Grievance Adminis t ra tor , the Attorney D i s c i p l i n e Board increased Respondent's suspension t o a a period of 120 days, a suspension which w i l l r e q u i r e that the Respondent appear before a Hearing Panel and e s t a b l i s h h i s e l i g i b i l i t y f o r r e in s t a t emen t i n accordance wi th the requirements of MCR 9.123(B) and MCR 9.124. Costs were assessed i n the amount of $419.75.

(NOTE: The Board' s Order , e f f e c t i v e October 6 , 1986, leng thened the Hearing Panel suspension which commenced on May 23, 1986. The 120 day suspension i s the re fo re measured from the start of the o r i g i n a l suspension on May 23, 1986.)
