NOTICE OF SUSPENSION
HUBERT J. MORTON (P 25940), 1717 City National Bank Bldg., Detroit, MI, 48226, by Order of 'the 14ichigan Supreme Court denying application for leave to appeal and vacating stay of discipline. (1) Suspension ; (2) For 'a period of 90 days; (3) Effective September 27, 1983; Stay Effective November 23, 1983 Stay Vacated February 7, 1984 leaving a balance of 33 days to be served. The Attorney Discipline Board affirmed the decision of the hearing panel.. The panel found that Respondent failed to timely file responses to two requests for investigation . served by the Grievance Commission. The panel noted certain aggravating factors including the fact that Respondent, at the time of the panel proceedings, was under suspension for refusing to answer a prior request for investigation. The panel also noted a record of previous discipline including a reprimand in 1981 and a 60 day suspension in 1982. Costs were assessed in the amount of $551.84.
