NOTICE OF SUSPENSION DP-42/83

ARTHUR R. REIBEL, (P19307), P.O. Box 217, Charlevoix, Michigan 48/20, by the Attorney Discipline Board dismissing Respondent's Petition for Review and setting aside stay of the suspension ordered by the hearing panel. (1) Suspension (2) For a period of 150 Days (3) Effective December 14, 1983 The Hearing Panel found as follows: that Respondent's license to practice law was suspended for a period of 90 days in discipline file DP-141/80; that Respondent was required to notify all clients of his change of status within 10 days of the effective date of said discipline order in compliance with GCR 1963, 968; that, on March 15, 1982, Respondent executed and delivered to the Nichigan Supreme Court an Affidavit attesting to compliance with the terms and con- ditions of the order of suspension as requried by GCR 1963, 972.1; that, contrary to GCR 1963, 968, Respondent failed to file with the Grievance Administrator proof of mailing of the notice to clients; that Respondent's affidavit of compliance was knowingly executed by Respondent for the purpose of obtaining reinstatement in violation of GCR 1963, 953 (1-6) (8) and 972.1. Respondent filed a Petition for Review resulting in a stay of discipline and Board Order to Show Cause why the discipline should not be affirmed. Respondent, however, failed to file a brief and failed to appear at the review hearing as ordered by the Board Order to Show Cause. Hearing Panel and Board review costs were assessed in the total amount of $541.79.
