NOTICE OF REPRIMAND
JOHN C. MOURADIAN (P 18040), 285 Whims Ct., Rochester, MI, 48063, by Attorney Discipline Board Wayne County Hearing Pane 1 #4. (1) Reprimand; (2) Effective September 8, 1983 Respondent was charged with neglect of a criminal appellate matter in which he was appointed counsel. The panel found that Respondent was warned that his failure to file an appellate brief and appendix or move for an extension of time was jeopardizing the appeal and could result in dismissal; following said warning, a no progress notice was issued warn- ing of dismissal barring a showing of good cause; that the appeal was dismissed by the Michigan Supreme Court; that Re- spondent filed a motion to reinstate which was denied. Respon- dent was also charged with failure to answer the Grievance Ad- ministrator's Request for Investigation within the time pre- scribed by GCR 962.1 and that Respondent failed and refused to provide additional information requested. Counsel for the Grievance Administrator made a motion for entry of a default upon failure to answer the Formal Complaint and, Respondent acting in pro per, did not oppose said motion. After consider- ation of several mitigating factors, including a period of serious physical illness, the panel entered an interim order providing Respondent with an opportunity to provide documenta- tion of eligibility for probation under GCR 1963, 970.3(3); however, said documentation was not filed within the time prescribed and the Grievance Administrator filed a motion for entry of discipline order, resulting in the reprimand. Costs were assessed in the amount of $108.79.
