Resgpndent neglected t h e l e g a l a f f a i r s of s e v e r a l c l i e n t s and made s u b s t a n t i a l misrepresentat ions t o those c l i e n t s . H e f a i l e d t o answer t h e r e s u l t i n g reques ts f o r i n v e s t i g a t i o n and formal complaints. The hear ing panel i s sued an order of suspension f o r 100 days. The Grievance Administrator and Respondent appealed t h e d i sc ip - l i n e imposed and t h e Board increased t h e suspension t o two (2) years .
In i t s opinion t h e Board noted t h a t i n add i t ion t o f a i l - ing t o answer s i x requets f o r inves t iga t ion and f i v e formal contplaints, Respondent displayed a l ack of adequate understanding of h i s respon- s i b i l i t i e s t o h i s c l i e n t s and t h e profess ion to-wit: a f t e r being re- ta ined by four separa te c l i e n t s t o s t a r t bankruptcy proceedings, he f a i l e d t o commence proceedings and misrepresented t o s a i d c l i e n t s the s t a t u s of the mat ters ; Respondent misrepresented t o a divorce c l i e n t the s t a t u s of the mat ter by advis ing t h a t a d ivorce judgment had been entered and produced a purported divorce judgment when i n f a c t no such order had been entered .
