NOTICE OF DISBARMENT AND RESTITUTION Case 21-25-GA Notice Issued: January 7, 2022 Christopher Allyn Sevick, P 69506, Ann Arbor, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board Washtenaw County Hearing Panel #51

Disbarment - Effective January 7, 2022 1 After proceedings conducted pursuant to MCR 9.115, the panel found, by default, that respondent committed professional misconduct as alleged in a multi-count Formal Complaint in relation to his representation of clients for whom he had been placed in a fiduciary relationship and a position of trust by the Washtenaw County Probate Court.

Based on the Administrator’s argument, the exhibits, and respondent’s default, the panel found that respondent neglected legal matters entrusted to him by the court, in violation of MRPC 1.1(c) (Count One); failed to seek the lawful objectives of his clients through reasonably available means permitted by law, in violation of MRPC 1.2(a) (Count One); failed to act with reasonable diligence and promptness in representing his clients, in violation of MRPC 1.3 (Count One); failed to promptly pay or deliver any funds that the client was entitled to receive, in violation of MRPC 1.15(b)(3) (Count Three); failed to hold property of a client in connection with a representation separate from his own property, in violation of MRPC 1.15(d) (Count Three); failed to respond to a lawful demand for information, in violation of MRPC 8.1(a)(2) (Counts Two and Four); engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, misrepresentation, or violation of the criminal law, where such conduct reflects adversely on the lawyer’s honesty, trustworthiness, or fitness as a lawyer, in violation of MRPC 8.4(b) (Count Three); and, failed to answer a request for investigation, in violation of MCR 9.104(7) and MCR 9.113(B) (Counts Two and Four). The panel also found that respondent violated MRPC 8.4(a) (Counts One-Four); MRPC 8.4(c) (Count One); MCR 9.104(1) (Count One); MCR 9.104(2) (Counts One-Four); MCR 9.104(3) (Counts One-Four); and, MCR 9.104(4) (Count One).

The panel ordered that respondent be disbarred from the practice of law and that he pay restitution in the total amount of $11,500.00. Total costs were assessed in the amount of $2,526.36.

1 Respondent has been continuously suspended from the practice of law in Michigan since July 28, 2021. See Notice of Interim Suspension Pursuant to MCR 9.115(H)(1), dated July 30, 2021.
