JOEL H. GOODMAN (P 29766), 23788 Village House Dr., Southfield, MI 48034, by the Attorney Discipline Board affirm- ing a hearing panel order. (1) Suspension; (2) For a period of 125 days; (3) Effective August 18, 1982. The hearing panel found that Respondent, in an effort to avoid a debt owed to a creditor and with intent to deceive his creditor and its counsel, altered and delivered to the attorney for the creditor, a copy of a federal bankruptcy court order of relief which was, in fact, an order of review for a different person with a name similar to respondent's; that the attorney for the creditor, relying upon said order of discharge, did direct a letter to a district court advising of Respondent's bankruptcy and obtain an order setting aside default judgment against Respon- dent. The panel also found that Respondent, in his responss to the Grievance Administrator's Request for Investigation regarding the bankruptcy order, denied making a misrepresentation; said answer to the Request for Investigation was false and known by Respondent to have been false at the time of his answer. The panel found violations of the Code of Professional Responsibility, to-wit: Canon 1, DR1-102( A) (3) - (6) and GCR 1963, 953 (1) - (4) and (6). The panel considered a prior disciplinary reprimand imposed in November of 1980. Pursuant to Respondent's Petition for Review, the Attorney Discipline Board affirmed the hec;-i~.; panel decision; trial and appeal costs totalling $ 5 : ; ' TO were assessed. Respondent's application for Iuve to appeal to the Supreme Court was denied September 9, 1982.
