This is to inform the Courts of the State of Michigan of the following Order of Discipline: FINAL NOTICE OF REPRIMAND File No. DP-144180 Related No. DP-331180 ALPHONSE LEWIS, JR., !PI66241 432 Trust Building, Grand Rapids, Michigan 49503, by the Attorney Discipline Board, Ingham Circuit Hearing Panel "B". ( 1 ) Reprimand ; ( 2 ) Effective August 10, 1981. The Complaint charged that Respondent was retained to probate a certain estate and that Respondent was appointed Special Administrator and Executor, that Respondent neglected the administration of said estate thereby permitting the real estate in said estate to become untenable and to deteriorate resulting in reduction of its value, that Respondent neglected and failed to proceed with administration of the estate despite repeated requests and was eventually removed as Special Administrator and Executor. The Hearing Panel determined that there was a violation of Canon 6, DR 6-101, (A) (3) which forbids neglect of a legal matter entrusted to an attorney. All charges other than neglect were dismissed for lack of sufficient evidence. The Panel noted one incident of prior discipline. Respondent was assessed costs in the amount of $1,132.00.
