Respondent was charged i n a two-count Formal Complaint with: neglect o f a patent matter, f a i l u r e t o provide the patent c l i e n t w i t h a search and opinion as promised, f a i l u r e t o comnun- i ca te w i t h said c l i e n t regarding the progress o f the matter, refusal t o fu rn ish the promised rrork product u n t i l payment o f add i t iona l lega l fees not agreed upon, charging o f an excessive fee, i n v i o l a t i o n o f GCR 953 (2-4) and (6), Canons 2 and 6 of the Code o f Professional Responsibi l i ty, t o w i t : DR 2-106 (3) and

DR 2-106 (4) and DR 6-101 ( A ) (3). Respondent was fu r the r charged i n a separate count w i th neglect o f a separate patent case resu l t ing i n the c l i e n t ' s loss o f a patent due to the manufacture and sale of the c l i e n t ' s invention by another; the second count a lso charges that Respondent substant ia l l y increased the add i t i ona l l y agreed upon l ega l fee, and the same was paid by the c l i e n t , and tha t Respondent f a i l e d t o comunicate w i th said c l i e n t regarding the progress o f said patent despite repeated c a l l s and l e t t e r s t o Respondent by the c l i e n t , sa id conduct i n v i o l a t i o n o f GCR 953 (2-4)

and (6), and Canons 2 and 6 o f the Code o f Professional Responsibi l i ty, t o w i t : DR 2-106 (3-4) and DR 6-101 (A ) (3). The Hearing Panel issued a Reprimand f o r the professional misconduct charged i n Count 1 . The Hearing Panel issued a Suspension o f one month f o r the misconduct

charged i n Count 11. Respondent was assessed costs i n the amount of $562.50 by the Hearing Panel.
