Respondent was charged in a seven-count Formal Complaint w i t h : f a i lu re t o honor bi l l ings for service of process by the Berrien County Sheriff , f a i lu re to answer the Request f o r Investiga- tion of the Attorney Grievance Commission in relat ion t o said charge, neglect of a c l i e n t matter and refusal , neglect or f a i l u r e t o return a $500 re ta iner and documents to said c l i e n t a f t e r f a i lu re to perform services, f a i l u r e t o respond to the Request for Investigation of the Grievance Commission in relat ion to said charge, neglect of divorce l i t i ga t ion a f t e r receipt of fee and f a i l u r e to respond t o the Request for Investigation i n said matter. Respondent was charged with violations of Canon 1 , DR 1-102 ( A ) (5-6), GCR 950 ( I ) , ( 2 ) , and ( 4 ) and (7 ) , and Canon 6 , DR 6-1 01 ( A ) ( 3 ) , Canon 7, DR 7-1 01 ( A ) (1- 2), Canon 9, DR 9-102 ( B ) (4) .
The Hearing Panel detenni ned tha t the Grievance Admi nis- t r a to r had proven or Respondent had admitted the charges contained i n four of the seven counts and speci f ica l ly determined tha t Respondent had not violated disciplinary rules regarding neglect, proper withdrawal from employment and fa i lu re to perfom as required by retainer agreement. Respondent was assessed costs in the amount of $419.50.
