The Formal Complaint charged as fo l lows : Count I - Although re ta ined t o f i l e a Worker's Compensation claim, Respondent f a i l e d t o do so and f a l s e l y represented t o the c l i e n t t h a t sa id mat ter was pending and had been adjourned several times; Count I 1 - Respondent f a i l e d t o respond t o the Grievance Admin is t ra tor 's Request f o r I nves t i ga t i on o f the f ac t s al leged i n Count I; Count 111 - Respondent f a l s e l y represented t o another c l i e n t t h a t he had f i l e d a Worker's Compensation and personal i n j u r y c la im on the c l i e n t ' s behalf; Respondent's f a i l u r e t o f i l e sa id s u i t s resu l ted i n the loss o f sa id claims; Count I V - Respondent f a i l e d t o answer the Request f o r Inves t iga t ion i n regard t o the charges contained i n Count I 11 o f the Formal Complaint; Count V - A1 leges a cont inuing pa t t e rn o f misconduct and re fusa l t o cooperate w i t h the Grievance Administrator, cons t i t u t i ng a

separate v i o l a t i o n o f GCR 953(7).

The Hearing Panel decided against s e t t i n g aside the Defaul ts entered i n t h i s mat ter and found t h a t the f ac t s i n the Formal Complaint

had been proven and t h a t Respondent had v i o l a ted Canon 1, DR1-102(A)(1) (4) (5) and (6), Canon 7, DR7-101 ( A ) ( l ) and (2), and GCR 953 (1-4) and ( 7 ) , as we1 1 as GCR 962.1. Respondent f a i 1 e d t o appear before the D i s c i - p l i n e Board f o r a hearing conducted pursuant t o h i s request, and h i s review p e t i t i o n was dismissed by the Attorney D i s c i p l i n e Board. Respondent was

found t o be i n contempt o f cou r t i n Wayne County C i r c u i t Court a f t e r having appeared as a counsel o f record i n a cou r t proceeding dur ing a term o f d i s c i p l i n a r y suspension and on the date Respondent was t o have answered the Order t o Show Cause issued by the Attorney D i s c i p l i n e Board.
