NOTICE OF SUSPENSION AND RESTITUTION (By Consent)

Case No. 15-19-GA Notice Issued: July 7, 2015

Glenn Phillip Franklin, P 68263, Southfield, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline 80ard TriĀ­ County Hearing Panel #56.

1. Suspension - 30 Days 2. Effective August 1, 2015 The respondent and the Grievance Administrator filed a stipulation for a consent order of discipline, in accordance with MCR 9.115(F)(5), which was approved by the Attorney Grievance Commission and accepted by the hearing panel. 8ased on respondent's admissions and no contest pleas, the panel found that respondent failed to adequately supervise a nonlawyer employee, in violation of MRPC 5.3; failed to act with reasonable diligence and promptness in representing a client, in violation of MRPC 1.3; failed to timely answer a request for investigation, in violation of MCR 9.104(7), MCR 9.113(A), and MCR 9.113(8)(2); violated or attempted to violate the Rules of Professional Conduct, contrary to MRPC 8.4(a); and engaged in conduct that violates the standards or rules of professional responsibility adopted by the Supreme Court, contrary to MRPC 9.104(4).

In accordance with the stipulation of the parties, the hearing panel ordered that respondent's license to practice law in Michigan be suspended for 30 days, effective August 1, 2015 (as stipulated by the parties). The panel also ordered that respondent pay restitution in the aggregate amount of $2,000.00. Costs were assessed in the amount of $820.00
