This i s t o inform the Courts of the S t a t e of Michigan of the f o l l owing f i n a l Orders of Discipl ine:

ORDER OF SUSPENSION 3 s 4 r -A GEORGE J. HARRINGTON (P23574) ,3053 W . Grand Bl vd. , Detro i t , Michigan 48238, f o r a period of 60 days, by the Attorney Discipl ine Board, e f f e c t i v e February 2 , 1979.

Respondent was charged with two counts of misconduct involving the neglect of a criminal appeal and f a i l u r e t o answer a request f o r inves t iga t ion being conducted by t he Grievance Administrator in regard 9 t o sa id cr iminal appeal. Respondent was charged with v io la t ions of Canon 1 , DR 1-102 ( A ) (3) (4) ( 5 ) and ( 6 ) , DR 6-101 (A) (3) and Supreme Court Rule 15.2 (1) (3) (4) and ( 7 ) . Fai lure t o respond t o a request f o r inves t iga t ion , r e s u l t i n g i n d e f a u l t , was the basis f o r a v io la t ion of Supreme Court Rule 15.2 ( 7 ) . The Hearing Panel accepted the factual a l lega t ions in t he complaint and determined t h a t Respondent had violated Canon 1 , DR 1-102 (A) (5) ( 6 ) , Canon 6 DR 6-101 (A) (3) and Supreme Court Rule 15, Sec. 2 , (1 ) ( 3 ) (4) and (7 ) . The Hearing Panel entered an Order of Reprimand which was appealed t o t h e Attorney Discipl ine Board. The Board affirmed the f indings of t he Hearing Panel and issued an Order increasing t he d i s c ip l i ne and an Opinion in support thereof .
