Mashni, P 32552, Redford, Michigan Effective January 18, 2023 On January 18, 2023, respondent was convicted by guilty plea of conspiracy to engage in bribery through scheme to commit honest services mail fraud, in violation of 18 USC §§ 371, 1341, and 1346, a felony, in United States of America v Samir Mashni, US District Court for the District of Colorado, Case No. 21-cr-00359-RMR-1. Upon respondent’s conviction, in accordance with MCR 9.120(B)(1), respondent's license to practice law in Michigan was automatically suspended.
Upon the filing of a judgment of conviction, this matter will be assigned to a hearing panel for further proceedings. The interim suspension will remain in effect until the effective date of an order filed by a hearing panel under MCR 9.115(J).
