NOTICE OF SUSPENSION

(By Consent)

Case No. 24-63-JC

Notice Issued: October 23, 2024

John L. Runco, P 39251, Birmingham, Michigan

Suspension - 60 Days, Effective October 23, 2024

Respondent and the Grievance Administrator filed a Stipulation for Consent Order of Discipline pursuant to MCR 9.115(F)(5), which was approved by the Attorney Grievance Commission and accepted by Tri-County Hearing Panel #13.  The stipulation contained respondent’s admission that he was convicted of two counts of domestic violence first offense (a misdemeanor), as set forth in the Notice of Filing of Judgment of Conviction, and that his conviction constituted professional misconduct under MCR 9.104(5).

Based on respondent’s conviction, admission and the parties’ stipulation, the panel found that respondent committed professional misconduct when he violated a criminal law of a state or of the United States, an ordinance, or tribal law, in violation of MCR 9.104(5).

The panel ordered that respondents license to practice law be suspended for 60 days, effective October 23, 2024.  Costs were assessed in the amount of $1,071.47.
