NOTICE OF AUTOMATIC INTERIM SUSPENSION Case No. 18-2-AI Notice Issued: February 1, 2018 Celia B. Washington, P 54338, Detroit, Michigan. Effective January 2, 2018. On January 2, 2018, respondent pled guilty to conspiracy to violate 18 USC § 666 (theft or bribery concerning programs receiving Federal funds), in violation of 18 USC §§ 371 and 666(a),

felonies, in the matter of United States of America v Celia Washington, U.S. District Court Eastern District of Michigan Southern Division, Case No. 2:17-cr-20662-DML-EAS. In accordance with MeR 9.120(B)(1), respondent's license to practice law in Michigan was automatically suspended on the date her plea was accepted.

Upon the filing of a certified judgment of conviction, this matter will be assigned to a hearing panel for further proceedings. The interim suspension will remain in effect until the effective date of an order filed by a hearing panel.
